This beautiful scene depicts the Hawkins kids on bikes, riding through the town, but they are actually pawns on a game board. There is a demogorgon who looms over the board, rolling a D20 and a D8. Around the board are an assortment of snacks and drinks, complete with a pencil and a character sheet.

The show is set in the 1980’s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The series centers around a group of friends as they investigate numerous supernatural events that occur around the town. They develop a connection to a hostile alternate reality called the “Upside Down” and must find ways to escape it.
